Church and ministry leadership resources to better equip, train and provide ideas for today's church and ministry leaders, like you. A short time ago, I received a message from a wife asking what I thought about the popular app, Snapchat. She was concerned with how using app would affect her marriage.
Here are my thoughts…. Many of you have probably heard of Snapchat and lots of you may actually use it. The issue that some have with the app is that the snaps are viewed one time and then disappear. A user can pay an extra fee to see the snap one other additional time, but most users just see it once. This has made many parents reluctant to let their kids use the app, and it has caused couples to wonder about the snaps their partners are sending out to other users. I think it can certainly be a fun app to use between spouses and friends—especially with the fun animation you can add to snaps.
However, I think spouses need to be extra careful and not be sending snaps to anyone of the opposite sex—unless they are blood-related. Click on the blog below for more on this. So, if you and your spouse are struggling with being honest with one another or are in a rough patch where you find yourself more open to the temptation of forming married women snapchat, flirtatious relationships outside the marriage, then it is probably best to stay away from Snapchat.
